We had the pleasure of attending the joint Tilinanu / The Warner Brothers Wish to Walk charities fund raising event recently in Leicester.
Tilinanu provides help for orphans in Malawi, providing housing, food and education support since 2009 and is doing some fantastic work and really making an impact to the area.
The Warner Brothers Wish to Walk has been setup to raise £100K for twins William and Arthur Warner who have Spastic Diplegia. The funds will allow them to have an operation to help them to stand and walk independently.
It was a fantastic evening with great entartainment, auctions and food. And some well needed funds raised.
Event-Pics had the pleasure of attending a Black-Tie charity event at Ansty Hall in Warwickshire for ‘Ape Action Africa‘ and ‘Law For Paws’. We created a temporary portrait studio with onsite printing to photograph guests throughout the evening. It was a great evening for a worthy cause.
The prom season has come to a close for another year. We had a mixture of white and black backgrounds throughout the season, and met some great people, both regular and new. Venues change from season to season, but the colourful dresses, smart suits and wacky modes of transport remain.
See you all in 2017 !
We recently had the pleasure to photograph the Transport Exchange Group (TEG) Event 2016, held at St John’s hotel in Birmingham. Food, drink and awards were the order of the night, and everyone had a fantastic time.
Warwick University Language Society had their 2016 ball recently at Chesford Grange, and we brought along our studio lights and backdrop to photograph the guests throughtout the evening.
Leicester based security company Abel Alarm celebrated their 50th anniversary at the Leicester Tigers Rugby Ground recently, and Event-Pics were invited to come along and photograph the event throughout the evening. Guest of honour was famous snooker player Willie Thorne. It was a great night with lots of food, awards, speeches and dancing, and everyone had a fantastic evening.
The school prom season is a busy time for us at Event-Pics. Multiple events across the Midlands to attend, but compressed into just a few weeks. We have our regular clients, but also get a few new ones as well. Each venue is different – some in schools, some in hotels and marquees.
We love the atmosphere of a prom – the guests arriving via a variety of weird and wacky transportation devices, the excitment before the prom starts with everyone dressed up to the Nines, and then the hectic short few hours where it is non stop photography for us, taking photographs and selling prints. And before we have chance to catch our breath, it is time to pack up for another year.
The final task of uploading the images from the night for post-event viewing and online sales, and we are done and onto the next prom.
But now it is all over for another year. 2016 prom season beckons and we will soon start filling our diary again. Looking forward to it already !
Happy New Year to all ! We saw out 2014 with a New Year’s Eve party at the Maher Centre in Leicester. We setup our portable studio with white backdrop and photographed everyone throughout the evening. It was a fantastic night and we met some great people. Have a wonderful year.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a fantastical Roald Dahl story, and a classic Christmas film for all the family. We had the honour of receiving a golden ticket to photograph @XclusiveXmas’s colourful Willy Wonka themed Christmas parties this year at the Maher Centre in Leicester.
The room’s theme was decorated by @BAVEvents with giant sweet props and trees, with a big stage for the Willy Wonka entertainment extravaganza choreographed by @TomShilcock. First class food by @ChefJackDay.
Our portable studio was setup in a section of the room to photograph guests throughout the evening. Guests had great fun at our studio and our own props were popular for people to display their flamboyant nature. The events have been a great way to start the Christmas celebrations.
We had the pleasure of photographing guests at Owen’s 50th birthday party recently in Coventry ,and boy did everyone have a good time ! Lots of eating, drinking but mostly dancing during the night, and props came out in force for the photos. A really fun night.
